If you ever
need to get in contact with the owner of the list, (if you have
trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself)
send email to
[email protected]
. This is the general rule for most mailing lists when you
need to contact a human.
When you
contribute to the list be sure to post your message to "[email protected]";
. You may put anything you want in the subject field. This is
advisable because it lets other members look at "threads"
(threads are subject names which will identify the rough area
of interest these posts will be about) in which they may have
particular interest. When you reply to a message with a subject
(thread) your message will also have that ame subject name by
default.
You also
have an option of replying privately to the person who sent the
mail originally. Be sure you check your "To:" field
in your reply. It is a common mistake for folks to accidentally
mail the entire list messages that are intended to be private.
Most mailers have a "reply" function which, by default,
automatically fills in the To: field in the reply with the address
of the sender. In our case the default will be [email protected],
not the person who sent the original message; so you will have
to change that before sending it out.
This list
serv does not like attachments so please refrain from attaching
any files to your posts.
This is an
open list serv and you can invite others to join. This is not
a commercial list serv or egroup, but one established by IDEAlliance
especially for the knowledge technologies community. This was
done to eliminate the static of marketing messages that come with
commercial egroups services.
